PROFILE

I am a versatile designer, design director, and business manager who values teamwork. My career path began with industrial design, merged into print and digital design, switched lanes to marketing and creative direction, and is currently in UX. I have an MBA and over 15 years of professional product design, graphic design, and UX/UI experience. People high-five me for my organizational skills, attention to detail, teamwork, self-management, and sense of humor. 


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Senior UX Designer  ::  Redwood City, CA  ::  June 2015 - present  

Yodlee 

  • Create user-friendly, engaging, and effective digital products and prototypes for end users and B2B clients in the financial sector.
  • Generate responsive design concepts, demos, and specs that fulfill project goals and requirements. Articulate the trade-offs between concepts and make recommendations.
  • Facilitate, evaluate, and integrate product feedback from user testing, internal cross-functional teams, and clients. 
  • Drive products toward achieving business goals by collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to optimize for customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities. Advocate best practices for UX and for the product.
  • Evaluate and set reasonable expectations for deliverables. Communicate and escalate issues or risks as appropriate. When necessary, reset expectations by engaging decision makers at appropriate levels.


Creative Designer  ::  Redwood City, CA  ::  April 2013 - June 2015  

Yodlee 

  • Created, defined, evolved, and managed the Yodlee and Yodlee Interactive brand expressions through all external-facing mediums. Articulated and defended conceptual and directional choices. 
  • Designed, directed, and managed all external visual communications for marketing and sometimes product — in print, digital, 3D, video, and UX/UI (web and mobile). 
  • Oversaw simultaneous projects from inception to completion — reviewing project plans, designs, and deliverables.
  • Art directed, managed, and motivated outside agencies or vendors. Provided design direction to ensure high-quality of deliverables.
  • Contributed to the development of digital and marketing strategies.
  • Worked cross-functionally with other departments to assist in anything from advising UX best practices for security products to designing t-shirts for summer interns.
  • Major accomplishments included the launch of the yodlee.com site in July 2014 and the IPO in October 2014 (NASDAQ: YDLE)

  • Created and managed the UX/UI of mobile apps for startup company, Bandwdth.
  • Consulted on business plan, designed website, and created pitch materials for startup company, PickStaff.
  • Created and updated PowerPoint presentations and Photoshop documents for financial technology company, Yodlee.
  • Designed logo, visual design, wireframes, UX, and brand strategy for startup company, Cozmos.

  • Project Management: Led multiple MBA teams in research, analysis, recommendations, and reports on topics such as the role sustainability plays in the product design industry and how the mobile banking industry can be used as a lever for equitable international development. 
  • Strategy Consulting, Kimpton Hotels: Created sustainable five-year business strategy using Blue Ocean techniques and scenario planning. Analyzed and made recommendations for existing green program. 
  • Finance Consulting, Kimpton Hotels: Performed ROI financial analysis of LEED investment in Hotel Palomar Philadelphia.

Alite Designs              

  • Assessed state of startup’s business by identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to aid in business development. Analyses used in pitch presentations for subsequent investors. 
  • Conducted brand analysis for future business development. This included research and presentation of target customers, existing products, product inspiration, and outdoor retailer industry.
  • Facilitated brainstorming sessions to create mission statement.
  • Led design collaboration with local non-profit company to make farmers market bag. Learned to sew and fabricate bags.
